bts: behind the scenes

Where Am I And Why Am I In This Handbasket

Attitude Problem is the blog of one Bene Gesserit Witch, a twenty-something feminist geek with flip-floppy identity issues, who has a lot of things to say and a lot of pent-up snark to say it with.  Bene is one of the masses of young Americans with an undergrad degree from a good school and not too much to show for it.

Things that might come up here, besides feminism and fandom (duh), include the film and television industry, bisexual rights, the Obama presidential campaign, gender identity, and cross-issue activism, particularly as it relates to being an ally.

There is a whole page on comments and privilege, including Bene’s own, in the interest of full disclosure.

Bullshit will not be tolerated.

Bene blogs elsewhere on the web, on different subjects, without an assumed name, where you may or may not have seen her.  Besides the obvious, she enjoys crafting, RPing, joining too many social networking sites, watching PBS, and David Tennant.  She lives somewhere in the Midwest and has a lot of people on her STFU list.

On the Origin of Species

Bene Gesserit Witch is a reference to an insult thrown at the strong, if problematic women of the Bene Gesserit in Frank Herbert’s Dune series.  It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Attitude Problem is available as a feed on LiveJournal or via FeedBurner.
